AN INVITATION FOR NEW DOG PARENTS

No subscriptions. No memberships. Just a vet who knows your dog.

Many Manhattan vets have moved to monthly memberships and wellness subscription plans. We haven't. At Pure Paws, you pay for the care your dog actually needs, when they need it — and you'll work with the same vet over time. New dogs and puppies are welcomed with a $45 first visit: a full wellness exam, time to talk through everything from training to nutrition, and a clear plan for what comes next.

$45 first visit for new dogs and puppies. No membership required, ever.

Welcoming New Patients

• Now welcoming new dogs and puppies. Most first appointments available within a week.

• Same vet, every visit. Continuity matters more for dogs than people realize — small behavioral changes are easiest to catch by someone who's seen your dog grow up.

• Easy online booking, 24/7. Or call us during business hours.

Manhattan-specific note:

Manhattan dogs have unique health concerns that many dog parents don't realize until they ask — leptospirosis from rat exposure in parks, paw injuries from hot summer sidewalks, anxiety from city noise. We'll cover the ones that apply to your dog at the first visit.

Why Pure Paws (dog-specific framing)

Why Hell's Kitchen dog parents chose Pure Paws.

• The vet who watches your dog grow up.

Big chains rotate doctors. We don't. You'll see the same vet on every visit — which means the small changes (a new limp, a shift in appetite, a behavioral quirk) get caught by someone who actually knows your dog's baseline.

• No membership. No subscription. No upsell.

Pure Paws is a traditional, independent veterinary practice. We don't sell wellness plans or annual memberships. Pay for the care your dog actually needs — and start with a $45 first visit if you're new.

• Right in the neighborhood.

We're a Hell's Kitchen practice — not a chain that put a location

here. Walking distance for most of Midtown and the Upper West Side, which means less stress for your dog and less travel time for you.

Ready to book your dog's first visit?

New-patient dog appointments take about five minutes to book. We'll confirm within one

business day, and your first visit runs about 30–45 minutes — enough time to get to know your

dog without rushing.

FAQ

My dog has never been to your office. What can I expect at the first visit?

Plan on 30–45 minutes. We'll do a full wellness exam, talk through your dog's history, address any

vaccines that are due, and walk you through anything specific to your dog's age or breed. If you can

bring records from your previous vet, great — if not, we'll request them on your behalf.

My puppy is on a vaccine schedule from a breeder/rescue. Can you continue it?

Yes. Bring whatever records you have and we'll pick up the schedule from where it left off. Most

puppies need a series of three to four vaccine visits before they're fully protected.

My dog is anxious at the vet. What can we do?

We can absolutely accommodate. Mention it when you book and we'll plan for a quieter appointment time, give your dog space to acclimate, and avoid unnecessary handling. For severely anxious dogs we can discuss pre-visit anxiolytic options.

Do you do spay/neuter surgery?

Yes — for both routine spay and neuter procedures and most soft tissue surgeries. We'll walk you through pre-op requirements at the first visit and answer any concerns about anesthesia or recovery.

How do I get my dog's records transferred?

Easiest path: ask your previous vet to email records to us before the visit. We can also request them on your behalf with your authorization.

My dog needs urgent care after hours. What do I do?

We're not a 24-hour ER. For after-hours emergencies we recommend [partner emergency hospital] — we'll receive their notes and pick up care the next day.

Do you do international travel certificates for dogs?

Yes. International travel paperwork is more complex than domestic — let us know the destination country and travel date at least 30 days in advance so we can confirm requirements.
